SERVICE DESCRIPTION:Provides residential and commercial dumping of solid waste as well as some recycling and hazardous waste recycling and disposal. The hazardous waste re-use program accepts household items that are more than 50% full and in the original container can be obtained free of charge. Items that might be available include automobile fluids, cleaning supplies, house paint or lawn and garden chemicals.

PAYMENT TYPE ACCEPTED:Private Pay.

INTAKE:Call for information.

ELIGIBILITY:Some guidelines apply for each service. Drop off of hazardous household materials for 40 pounds or less limit; businesses must use the Hazardous Waste Collection Center at the Anchorage Regional Landfill.

SITE HOURS:Residential: Mon-Sat 8am-5pm.
Commercial: Mon-Fri 6:30am-5pm; Sat 8am-5pm. Closed Sundays;
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility: Tue, Thu, Sat 8am-5pm.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTES:Entrance for cars and pickups is located at the intersection of E 54th and Juneau Street; 1 block East of the Old Seward Highway and 1 block South of Anchorage International Airport Road.
